“She is free in her wildness, she is a wanders, a drop of free water. She knows nothing of borders and cares nothing for rules or customs. ‘Time’ for her isn’t something to fight against. Her life flows clean, with passions, like fresh water.” – Roman Payne
I can freely admit that I am not the best blogger. I find it scary and daunting and a place filled with awful monsters of self doubt. A place where when I sit down to write all the wonderful things I feel about a photo or session I get more tongue tied than two kids on a first date. A lot of that is because I have yet to shake off my inhibitions about revealing my thoughts and feelings to the scary world that is the World Wide Web. It’s.. it’s just weird. Whether there is just one of you, or hundreds of you… you, the reader… are scary.
When I write (which I do quite often) it is always in my sketchbook, surrounded by paintings and drawings of what I’m thinking and feeling. The little book is an extension of my brain and heart and to blog that is a vulnerability I’m not yet ready to express and admire any who can just let it all hang out there; the proverbial heart on your sleeve soul if you will. And that’s really truly Glynnis.
Her heart is HUGE and her brain is just a crazy world of whirlwind ideas, stories and incredibly random thoughts. Where I see the world in paintings and photography, she sees it in stories. From a small incident at a grocery store to a shell shock moment on the street she sees a great story and has no hesitation in sharing it. We each have our battles and passions we fight for everyday and I never see her not fighting. And to me it’s spectacular and an incredible source of inspiration. The world is open if you are open to it.
